Eagle Pack is a balanced dog food to give the right mixture of everything the dog needs to stay healthy. Just like humans, dogs need to have carbohydrates, proteins, fats and vitamins to keep them in top condition.
There are two types of food available, one formulated especially for puppies, the other for adult dogs.
Dogs have different dietary requirements according to their age. Puppies need different proteins and vitamins to fuel their growth. Older dogs need other minerals to care for their aging joints and muscles.
First, we'll discuss puppy food. If you want to skip down to adult dog food, please click here.
Here are some other high quality foods for English Bulldogs that you may want to think about.
Eagle PackPuppies are babies, so need extra care. Because they're growing so fast they need to have enough vitamins and minerals to fuel their growth. This will ensure that they grow up with a good, strong immune system to protect them from infections and illness.
Not adding any artificial preservatives or flavoring helps to protect the puppies from allergic reactions. The manufacturers are also careful to include a variety of animal proteins, which help your puppy to gain muscle strength. Most dogs absolutely love the taste of the food too.
Bulldogs are well known for their lazy and indolent attitude, so this food will ensure that your puppy can have a balanced, calorie controlled and appropriate diet. He or she will have the things that they need as they grow, giving them a strong skeleton and muscles.
Humans and dogs alike need DHA (an abbreviation for Docosahexaenoic acid) which is an omega-3 fatty acid found in ocean fish, that's needed to help the brain and eyes develop correctly. By feeding your puppy Eagle Pack food you'll be helping to ensure he has everything he needs to grow big and strong and stay healthy.
It's available from some local pet stores or Amazon.com (opens in new window) are an online supplier.
This will depend on the age and weight of your puppy. It will vary from a quarter cup for a 2lb puppy of 4 - 8 weeks old up to between 5 and 7 cups of food for a large 80lb - 100lb young adult dog of a year old. Every pack has instructions and a feeding guide for your reference.
The food is packaged in 6lb, 15lb and 30lb packs, so you can manage both your budget, storage space and needs of your pet.
The food contains a mix of chicken, pork and fish proteins combined with ground rice (both white and brown), fish oils, egg, brewers dried yeast, various seeds, kelp and a balanced mix of vitamins and minerals.
Eagle Pack also manufacture food for adult dogs. These come in 6 flavors and include lamb, chicken, pork, reduced fat and "power" which is formulated for very active dogs (bulldogs are NOT included in this "active" group)
The Original lamb flavor food contains rice and oatmeal to help with digestion, which can be an issue for English Bulldogs. Like the puppy food, it contains a mixture of proteins and additional vitamins to help your adult dog stay healthy. Some Bulldogs suffer from joint problems, so you may find that the added glucosamine hydrochloride might help.
The reduced fat version has fewer calories than the Original formula. If you think your bulldog is overweight then this may be an appropriate alternative food to help manage the problem.
Like the puppy food, the adult food comes in packs of 6lb, 15lb and 30lb.

When you change your dog's food you should do so slowly over a period of a week or so. Gradually mix the new food into the old food, adding more of the new and reducing the old until you've made the transition.
This allows the dog to get used to the new food without upsetting their digestion.
While you're transitioning, watch carefully for any changes. Some owners have found that their dogs are allergic to one or more of the food ingredients. One owner left a review on Amazon.com in which she said that her dogs reacted very quickly and she had to stop feeding Eagle Pack. She also noted that the food didn't suit her dogs but that it didn't mean that it wouldn't suit yours.
